Visit
of the Master to 37 Signal Regiment (Volunteers) – 24 January 2011
On 24 January 2011, the Master visited 37 Signal Regiment (Volunteers) at Swynnerton Training Camp in Staffordshire where it was running a Trade Training Camp on behalf of 2 Signal Brigade. Accompanied by the Mistress Poulter, and the Regiment’s Honorary Colonel, Stamford Cartwright, the Master was provided with an education of the demands of Territorial signalling before presenting The Poulters Plate to Lance Corporal Crumpton-Taylor of 36 (Eastern) Signal Squadron based in Colchester.
After the presentation the Master spoke with the students, who had travelled from across UK including Northern Ireland for their two weeks of training to become a qualified Royal Signals Communications Systems Operator.
Before he departed, the Master presented on behalf of the Company a generous cheque to the Regiment to assist and encourage young soldiers to attend the ski-touring expedition which will be conducted in March 2011.

LCpl Crumpton-Taylor explains the Bowman ma portable radio capability to the Master and Mistress Poulter whilst Colonel Cartwright and Sergeant Ian Murray look on.
