On Wed 19th Sept, guests at the Michaelmas Court lunch were fortunate enough to enjoy the reflections of guest speaker Sheriff & Deputy Keith Bottomley as he approached the end of his year in office. Armourers' Hall was at full capacity, partly on account of no less than four visiting Masters plus friends from our affiliate unit 36 (Essex Yeomanry) Signal Squadron. Thanks are due to our IPM Paul Kelly who stepped in at short notice on behalf of the Master, who was unable to attend on account of a family bereavement; Paul presented Sheriff Bottomley with donations for The Lord Mayor's Appeal and The Sheriffs' & Recorder's Fund. Roast grouse was tucked into enthusiastically by (nearly) all.
